Phoronix IRC Log: 2009-07-07
michaellarabel: Milyardo: Have you made any progress with the PS writer?
evocallaghan: michaellarabel: Hi
michaellarabel: Hi evocallaghan
evocallaghan: michaellarabel: My I make a comment on your site.
evocallaghan: s/May
evocallaghan: rather.
michaellarabel: Of course
evocallaghan: Its getting a little dull constantly talking about Linux (ubuntu) and such with very very little about the *BSD's and other OpenSolaris distro's not just Sun's product. *I* believe you should have a large scope.
evocallaghan: Makes for a more interesting read.
michaellarabel: That's simply due to a lack of manpower and with Linux bringing in more page views / ad revenue than BSD / OpenSolaris articles usually.
evocallaghan: I see.
evocallaghan: Well I can tell you directly that I know more then a few people that have uttered the words "I don't bother looking at it, its Linux biased. OSNews is normally good though"
evocallaghan: michaellarabel: Any way, I thought I would pass on the comments as I am sure you must be interested..
evocallaghan: and I have to say I agree, phoronix is becoming less and less interesting for me.. Sorry but I am being direct and bring up the issue instead of you losing 'a' reader which could translate into others read'ers' as well.
michaellarabel: uncle_fungus: The stresscpu2 test profile appears broken with http://fire-salamander.co.uk/pts-tests/stresscpu2.php having changed
uncle_fungus: oh crud
uncle_fungus: they've redesigned the entire website it seems
uncle_fungus: I reckon the gromacs profile is probably broken too
uncle_fungus: stresscpu2 will work again now, I'll try and fix the gromacs profile tomorrow unless someone beats me to it
