Ivanovic: might be worth a read for PTS
Ivanovic: (haven't read it myself yet, jus saw it linked in a news at a different site)
Ivanovic: off to bed, n8
Deanjo: lol http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=NzM0NA
Deanjo: Stop spying on my PM's dammit
Deanjo: :D
maccam941: does iozone test the root filesystem or what?
Deanjo: In the individual test I believe you can specify the filesystem
Deanjo: in the "suite" tests it does bench / IIRC
maccam941: i believe i ran the suite test
maccam941: so how does it work with the suite test?
maccam941: i just ran it on my raid5 array of 3 sata 3G hard drives and got 1000MB/s read on the 512mb testt
Deanjo: Ya that's probably cached reads
maccam941: the 2GB test got 96MB/s which made sense
maccam941: but i think the total cache for the drives combined is only 96mb
maccam941: so I don't know how it would still get such a high read speed for 512mb
