henry-nicolas: Hello everybody, does anybody know how to get video in working on a GF 6700 under Linux (rivatv works for card up to GF FX) ?
evocallaghan: Install the Nvidia driver
henry-nicolas: with the nvidia proprietary driver, I don't get any /dev/video file
Ivanovic: michaellarabel: what are the prerequisites for selecting UXA?
Ivanovic: do you need GEM or KMS?
Ivanovic: *wow*
Ivanovic: the upgrade from 2.6.27.* to 2.6.30 has dramatically increased the opengl speed with my 945GM (intel integrated)
Lightkey: how many glxgears fps?!
Ivanovic: 1500
Ivanovic: but i don't count glxgears
Ivanovic: i count what i see from ankh
Ivanovic: before i had lovely 5 seconds per frame, now i get ~15 frames per second
darthanubis: where can I get one of the test used to do the benchmarks ran on the site? Like for Ubuntu 9.04 64bit
darthanubis: I used to see a like to "if you want to run these tests just enter foo into your shell"
Ivanovic: darthanubis: check if the package manager comes with some kind of "phoronix-test-suite"
Ivanovic: this is used to test the stuff
darthanubis: Ivanovic, I have the suite. That was not the question.
darthanubis: I want the specific test ran on a specific instance
darthanubis: usually they are named after the person or entity that ran the test. Since the 2.0 version, I no longer see links to the particular tests?
darthanubis: where can I get one of the test used to do the benchmarks ran on the site? Like for Ubuntu 9.04 64bit? I already have the suite, just need the particular test ran for the article?
Ivanovic: just call the test suite from a terminal and install the test
Ivanovic: afterwards you can just call the test suite with the benchmark param and the test name
