peppo: hm
peppo: trying to get my laptop to output to DFP1
peppo: what's the proper xrandr command?
peppo: I run $ xrandr --auto --output DFP1 but nothing is displayed on the tv
Ivanovic: are you sure that the tv is dfp1?
peppo: yup
peppo: it's worked before
peppo: but I think on fglrx 9.4
Ivanovic: a different driver might mean a different name
Ivanovic: ;)
Ivanovic: i *think* a command to xrandr without param might give you a list of possible outputs, not sure though
peppo: it does
peppo: this is insanely poor
Ivanovic: are you currently using the open source drivers?
peppo: I wish that gnome included an xrandr driver
peppo: no, fglrx
peppo: switching to radeonhd gives me a corrupted screen
Ivanovic: okay, then try to do it using amdcccle
Ivanovic: in there you should be able to configure displays dynamically
peppo: yeah it finds it
peppo: but nothing is displayed
Ivanovic: then i don'T know
Ivanovic: maybe ask in the forums
peppo: well I need it now :P
peppo: wanted to watch a movie
peppo: piece of shit hardware
peppo: it might have been with radeonhd I got it working last time
peppo: xrandr --output DFP1 --auto
peppo: gives an X Error
peppo: "of failed request"
peppo: Major opcode of failed request: 157 (RANDR)
peppo: Minor opcode of failed request: 29 ()
peppo: Serial number of failed request: 27
peppo: Current serial number in output stream: 27
peppo: quality.
peppo: OK I give up
peppo: I hate fglrx.
