Kano: hi michaellarabel
redeeman: can one mount an ATX motherboard in a tower that just says it supports "SSI EEB 3.0" ?
Kano: if you can place the screws correctly why not
redeeman: well that's why im asking
michaellarabel: I just heard from Epic Games...
redeeman: ut3 is cancelled?
Milyardo: lol
Milyardo: I bet
Milyardo: icculus has seemed like he had a little extra spare time lately
Milyardo: I had to unsebscribe from his twitter RSS cause he flooding my inbox :|
michaellarabel: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=NzE5NQ
redeeman: so basically NOTHING new
Ivanovic: sounds like
raevol: michaellarabel: did you see that interview with ryan a little while back
raevol: michaellarabel: http://www.hardware.no/artikler/ryan_c_gordon_and_michael_simms/68450/3
schestowitz: The Inquirer calls Michael Larabel "Lord of Penguins " http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/715/1051715/core-i7-plays-nice-linux Linus would be jealous.
michaellarabel: schestowitz: Haha. They also call Phoronix the "Penguin's Place"
mattmatteh: wonders if it could be called the devils place ( for taz)
schestowitz: Congrats
Kano: hi michaellarabel
michaellarabel: Hi Kano
Kano: did you notice that git does not update automatically
michaellarabel: Yes, long known bug
michaellarabel: manually refreshed it...
michaellarabel: also, there's the new HDD detection support in Git
Kano: also you need to add time to byte benchmark
Kano: as dependency
Kano: then check php5+mysql
Kano: php5 was the dl link i think
Kano: not sure for mysql
Kano: maybe missing build-dep
Kano: because you get no time at all here
Kano: checking for termcap functions library... configure: error: No curses/termcap library found
Kano: libncurses5-dev build-dep, check /usr/include/ncurses.h
Kano: for time you just check /usr/bin/time
Kano: time was for byte
Kano: + fix link for php5, for 1.8.1 *g*
Kano: hmm still no result for mysql
Kano: but configure did not complain
Kano: well make manually does finish
Kano: what has pts for a problem then
michaellarabel: what is the php5 link problem?
Kano: the link is outdated and does not dl, of course it works for you when you use a dl cache with that file
Kano: ok, mysql is fixed, but it does not return...
Kano: i think when you only run 1 test you have got that problem really often
Kano: i use 1 / 1 as input to try btw
michaellarabel: oh, the PHP link is fixed in Git
michaellarabel: I thought you were talking about something else
Kano: where was the file with the depends
michaellarabel: ?
Kano: the automatic depends you install
michaellarabel: pts/distro-xml/
Kano: did you push git already?
michaellarabel: for which of the fixes?
Kano: the dep problems
Kano: what generic name for libncurses5-dev package?
michaellarabel: I don't think there is one at present
Kano: thats why i added it ;)
Kano: i think your system has too many build-deps installed so you "forget" some
Kano: time is hard to forget on ubuntu, but it is not preinstalled on debian
michaellarabel: ncurses-development is what it will be called for generic name
Kano: fine
evocallaghan: waves to michaellarabel
michaellarabel: Hi evocallagha n
michaellarabel: evocallaghan
evocallaghan: Hi
evocallaghan: You wanted to know the reply to that email
evocallaghan: Dear Edward,
evocallaghan:        I have done a simple prototype for GEM, not do any test. It's based on the 2008Q4. http://intellinuxgraphics.org/2008Q4.html. But there are some issues for glxinfo & glxgears on my GM45. The performance is not good either.
evocallaghan:        Now, I'm syncing these codes with the coming 2009Q1. There are more fixes for GEM, DRI2 & UXA in Linux.
evocallaghan:        For KMS, I think we have to split the GEM and KMS into two stage. We will putback the GEM first and then KMS.
evocallaghan: michaellarabel: Things started to progress a bit then they pulled all the code away into there deep dark firewall so I can't tell you more sorry.
michaellarabel: evocallaghan: I see
evocallaghan: michaellarabel:I am just working on Hydra's dynamics at the moment
evocallaghan: It can load up support for ZFS,BTFS, etc.. support at runtime so you can move your packaging system over nodes from Linux, Solaris, AuroraUX while live!
michaellarabel: Nice job
evocallaghan: ta!
evocallaghan: Half done
evocallaghan: Getting there..
