Which one has better linux support and features (video accel., etc. ) at the moment or in near-future? I'll be using it mostly for casual gaming in my display's native res. [1920x1200] (etqw, UT3 if it ever comes out xD ), maybe some games through wine and HD video playback...

Alastair: hm...that may not be very true, my old 9500 is stil supported, but the 5900XT is pretty much useless now :/

maligor: the fglrx driver on 9500 is probably abysmally buggy
