October 07, 2011 -- The official Oktoberfest in Munich has (sadly) ended earlier this week after 17 days of the usual beer, food, and entertainment. I was there for the duration, as usual, meeting up with Phoronix readers, business sources, and other contacts while enjoying this wonderful Bavarian festival. XDC2011 Chicago Recap: Open-Source Graphics, GPGPU, OpenGL 3.0

GNOME & KDE Developers Meet Over Beer In Berlin

August 10, 2011 -- The 2011 Desktop Summit is coming to a close at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. This was the second time that GNOME and KDE developers joined to host a Linux desktop summit of around 1,000 participants.
