Munich Oktoberfest 2011

The official Oktoberfest in Munich has (sadly) ended earlier this week after 17 days of the usual beer, food, and entertainment. I was there for the duration, as usual, meeting up with Phoronix readers, business sources, and other contacts while enjoying this wonderful Bavarian festival. For those that missed out on the event but are curious what the event is really like, here's some Oktoberfest photos for your enjoyment, since beer is commonly quite popular among developers and computer enthusiasts.

XDC2011 Chicago Recap: Open-Source Graphics, GPGPU, OpenGL 3.0

There is less than one week to go until the 2011 X.Org Developers' Conference begins in Chicago, United States. The tentative schedule has been published on the X.Org Wiki. Among the topics to be discussed are the Nouveau driver, GPGPU computing, OpenGL 3.0 support, the Low-Level Virtual Machine within Mesa, and much more.
