Next up are some benchmarks from a Lenovo ThinkPad W510 notebook with a NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M discrete GPU.

This mobile NVIDIA Quadro FX was being controlled by the default Nouveau Gallium3D stack found in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. The testing was done in the same manner as with the Radeon Gallium3D setup, just on a different system.

Unity 5.12.0 does really offer up performance improvements over Unity 5.10 for many OpenGL workloads...

The Nouveau Gallium3D stack is slow in general since on the DRM driver side they are still battling proper re-clocking support, etc. The Nouveau stack found in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is also a bit outdated and thus not at a point that includes their libdrm re-write, etc.
