The ThinkPad T61 had its best C-Ray performance when running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS compared to the major releases going back four years to Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS while the power consumption was also better than in Ubuntu 11.10. However, the power consumption during this test was at its lowest in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and 10.04 LTS. The power consumption is slightly higher with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, but at least the C-Ray performance has improved at the same time too.
