Ubuntu 64-bit More Competitive Against Mac OS X

The OpenSSL performance more than doubled with a 64-bit Ubuntu installation on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

Dhrystone 2 performed better with a 64-bit kernel and its performance had nearly doubled. However, even the 32-bit Ubuntu installation was faster than Mac OS X.

The integer arithmetic performance only improved slightly between the Ubuntu 32-bit and Ubuntu 64-bit versions.
