For different Linux graphics drivers there may be more benefits out of 64-bit Linux, but for this Intel HD Graphics testing on Mesa 10.1 with Linux 3.13 there wasn't much change for the gaming tests.

The x264 video encoding performance was 13% faster in using the 64-bit version.

The time needed to build the Linux kernel was about the same between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
