The Power Consumption In Ubuntu 12.10

The performance per-Watt efficiency of C-Ray is up greatly with Ubuntu 12.10. As many other Phoronix articles have shown, the C-Ray performance improves dramatically with GCC 4.7 that is now used by Ubuntu 12.10. While the power consumption is largely unchanged, the C-Ray performance on Ubuntu Quantal is much better.

The multi-threaded NAS Parallel Benchmarks continue to improve under Ubuntu 12.10 as well.
