The DarkPlaces-powered Xonotic and Nexuiz games were improving as well with the current Ubuntu 12.10 packages. It will be interesting to see these results once Mesa 9.0 has been uploaded to the Ubuntu Quantal repository. The current results aren't too surprising based upon all of the upstream work being done by Intel's impressive Open-Source Technology Center developers.

Stay tuned for the Ubuntu vs. OS X vs. Windows 7 comparison of Intel OpenGL graphics that are forthcoming. Be sure to follow the latest information via Facebook and Twitter (@Phoronix and @MichaelLarabel).
