When running some NAS Parallel Benchmarks, which are written by NASA in Fortran and leverage OpenMP for multi-threading, all of the tests see huge performance improvements with Ubuntu 12.04 over Ubuntu 11.10.
When running FFTE, another Fortran-based OpenMP test, the Ubuntu 12.04 performance is up by an incredible 87%.
