With the MSI Atom 330 NetTop, the boot time increases only slightly from 25 to 27 seconds. The maximum disk throughput still rises from 58MB/s to 88MB/s

The boot time for a quad-core AMD Opteron 2384 system with a 60GB OCZ Agility EX SSD also increased on Ubuntu 11.10. Ubuntu 11.04 booted in 7.78 seconds on this Opteron workstation bearing a very fast solid-state drive, but it was 11.09 seconds for the Ubuntu 11.10 development build. The maximum disk throughput this time was nearly halved on Ubuntu Oneiric.
