These benchmarks are not terribly surprising or very different from earlier Ubuntu virtualization benchmarks. Generally, Linux KVM is the fastest and most reliable means of virtualization. Xen virtualization though continues to be quite viable and can deliver comparable performance to KVM for many computational workloads.
