Examination:

Due to the expansion capabilities with this motherboard, the Sapphire Pure Platinum A75 is a standard ATX form factor. If you are hoping for a low-power Fusion setup for a small form factor setup, like for a Home Theater PC, this motherboard is not for you. Rather, this motherboard is intended more for enthusiasts and serious desktop systems.

There are four DDR3 memory slots on the Pure Platinum A75 that support up to 16GB of system memory. Next to the DDR3 DIMM slots is the 24-pin ATX power connector. In the bottom corner of the motherboard is the AMD A75 (Hudson D3 FCH) chipset plus five Serial ATA 3.0 connectors, USB 2.0 headers, a POST code indicator, and the front panel header. Over the AMD A75 chipset is a small aluminum heatsink with a Pure Platinum A75 emblem on top.

The expansion slots on this Sapphire motherboard include one PCI Express 2.0 x16, two PCI Express x1, one Mini PCI Express x1, one PCI Express x4, and two PCI slots. These expansion capabilities are nice to see from a Fusion motherboard. Below the expansion slots are physical power/reset buttons along with a button to easily clear the CMOS.
