Starting with the scientific NAS Parallel Benchmarks test cases, the Samsung Chromebook with its Exynos 5 Dual totally slams all of the x86 and ARM comparison hardware. While the Exynos 5 Dual is only a dual-core part at 1.7GHz, it had no problems at all slaughtering the performance of the quad-core 1.4GHz Calxeda server that is A9-based rather than A15. The Intel Atom D525 at 1.8GHz that is dual-core plus also has Hyper Threading was also beaten by the ARM Cortex A15.

The Samsung Exynos 5 performance is quite compelling... Being found in a $249 Chromebook that can be loaded with Linux distributions is also a very attractive bargain.
