Kubuntu 9.10 managed to outperform Sabayon 5.1/4.2 by about 15% with the 7-Zip compression test.

Kubuntu 9.10 was also faster than Sabayon by 8% with the Apache web server benchmark.

Sabayon 5.1 pulled ahead of both Sabayon 4.2 and Kubuntu 9.10 with the PostgreSQL database performance.
