9-Way NVIDIA GeForce Linux Benchmarks On Their New Beta Driver
Following last week's exciting NVIDIA 334 Linux beta driver release, here are benchmarks from nine different GeForce graphics cards to complement yesterday's 9-way AMD Radeon comparison on Ubuntu with the latest Linux driver beta.
Like yesterday's Radeon tests, these GPU performance results are part of a much larger performance comparison next week... More hardware, new GPUs, all side-by-side. These results are just serving as a preview for those curious about the GeForce performance with the 334.16 beta driver or are looking to run your own performance comparison by installing the Phoronix Test Suite and simply running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1402144-PL-NVIDIALIN55. Next week's article will also have all of the thermal, power consumption, and performance-per-Watt data.
The GeForce Linux results to share in this article from Ubuntu 13.10 on the Linux 3.12 kernel with the latest NVIDIA 334.16 Beta driver include:
- GeForce GT 240
The results shown in this preview article from the 334.16 beta driver include both OpenGL graphics and OpenCL compute performance data.
An Intel Core i7 4770K "Haswell" system was used for all of this Ubuntu Linux graphics card testing.
