It is taking longer to compile ImageMagick with newer GCC 4.6 compiler, but it has become quicker to build MPlayer.

C-Ray on the dual-core 1.0GHz Cortex A9 system is slightly slower with the GCC 4.6-based upgrades.

The OpenMP scaling issues are sorted out with GCC 4.6 for this hardware, as shown by CLOMP measuring the efficiency effectively to two cores.
