NVIDIA 2011 Driver Year In Review
That's about it in terms of noteworthy NVIDIA Linux driver changes in 2011 aside from all of the bug-fixing, new ASIC support, support for the latest OpenGL versions, and maintaining new Linux kernel / xorg-server compatibility.
The NVIDIA Linux drivers that were benchmarked for this year-end article included the 260.19.29, 270.18, 270.41.06, 275.09, 275.19, 280.13, 285.03, 285.05.09, and 290.10 releases. Testing was done via the Phoronix Test Suite with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 768MB graphics card from the Intel Core i7 900X system running Ubuntu 10.10 that was also the system used in the AMD 2011 Year-In-Review article.
