We continued with our Ubuntu 9.10 vs. Mac OS X 10.6.2 with the remainder of the OpenGL tests running at 1920 x 1080 where it is at least a fair comparison. With Urban Terror, the best performance was found with Ubuntu 9.10 (x86), which ran at five more frames per second than the 64-bit version of Ubuntu. However, Ubuntu 9.10 (x86_64) and Mac OS X 10.6.2 had ran at the same speed.

With OpenArena, the 32-bit version of Ubuntu 9.10 was faster than the 64-bit version again but this time by a surprising 12 FPS. Mac OS X 10.6.2 had scored just behind the 32-bit version of Ubuntu Karmic.

When looking at the MP3 encoding performance with LAME, the best performance was found to be under the 64-bit Ubuntu 9.10. In second place was Mac OS X 10.6.2 followed by Ubuntu 9.10 x86.
