LLVM/Clang 3.0 beats GCC 4.6.2 with John The Ripper for both the Intel and AMD platforms in DES, but was the opposite in MD5 and Blowfish workloads.

GCC did better than the latest LLVM/Clang in MAFFT for both the AMD Opteron and Intel Core i7 systems.

Next up is a look at AMD Bulldozer when tested with several versions of GCC along with testing other Bulldozer-specific compiler optimizations.
