First up are some disk benchmarks between the Linux 2.6.39 and 3.4 kernels.

For the FS-Mark tests, overall the results were mostly flat-lined when using EXT4 on the Intel SSD between the Linux 2.6.39 and 3.4 kernels, however, for a few workloads there were improvements.

For a single Dbench instance, there is a nice performance improvement between Linux 3.2 and Linux 3.3 for this Intel x86_64 system that is still maintained with Linux 3.4.
