Multiple display heads is important to more of our survey respondents than GPU power saving modes, output hot-plugging, or TV-Out support.

For configuring the GPU / displays, most users rely upon a graphical utility, such as what is available in GNOME or KDE or with the proprietary drivers there is the Catalyst Control Center and the NVIDIA-Settings panel. Many users though still need to result to manually editing the xorg.conf file.

Using just a single display continues to be the most prominent setup.
