Our tenth question was asking users what tasks they actively engage in on their Linux systems. The most popular choice was video playback followed by desktop effects and gaming. The least popular right now was using GPU computing.

The last question in our 2008 Linux Graphics Survey was to find out how the respondents classified their usage of Linux. 56% of those that answered these questions had classified themselves as a mainstream user, 19.7% as an enthusiast / gamer, 16% as in professional 2D, and the remaining in professional 3D.
The results from this year's survey can be discussed in the Phoronix Forums.
