While the gain from Mesa 8.0 to 8.1 is not as impressive as the Sandy Bridge optimizations that took place when moving from Mesa 7.11 to Mesa 8.0, at least the frame-rate for Lightsmark is ahead and not regressed.

Nexuiz was also edging slightly higher on Mesa 8.1 with the Intel Core i5 "Sandy Bridge" hardware.

For the two OpenArenea releases tested, there was basically no real change in performance between the Mesa 8.0 Git branch and master.
