With the open-source VDrift racing game the frame-rate is up by 16% between the 2011Q3 and 2011Q4 releases. More interesting, however, is what is to come with 2012Q1. With the latest December Git code, the VDrift performance under Sandy Bridge is up by 61%!

Lightsmark is yet another case of the performance evolving greatly over the course of the year. Between 2011Q1 and 2011Q2 the performance increased by 2.53x and when enabling RC6 the frame-rate is up by another 16%.

The latest Intel Linux Git code increases the OpenArena frame-rate by about 50%.
