With the TTSIOD 3D Renderer the first boost in performance due to upping the targeted micro-architecture was from going the Core i7 AVX (Sandy Bridge) route. However, when switching to core-avx-i, for the Ivy Bridge additions, there was not any extra performance boost out of the generated code.

Some of the GraphicsMagick tests saw performance boosts out of the instruction set additions first introduced in Sandy Bridge, but the new Ivy Bridge features did not up the performance by any greater amount.
