At 1920 x 1080, the Unvanquished game with its OpenGL 3.x renderer was 16% faster on Windows over Ubuntu Linux.

As the visual settings were upped with the Xonotic first person shooter and its advanced GL2 renderer, the Linux performance degraded much worse than Windows 8 and its latest Intel Iris/HD graphics driver with ultimate quality settings, Windows 8 was 86% faster than Linux while with low quality settings it was only 8% faster.
