Windows 8 Beats Ubuntu Linux For Intel "Haswell" OpenGL Performance

In starting with the defunct Nexuiz game, the Windows 8 Pro x64 performance with the latest Intel driver was 20% faster than Ubuntu 13.10 with the very latest Linux 3.11 kernel and Mesa 9.2 Git.

For the OpenArena game, the Ubuntu 13.10 performance was 16% faster than the Intel Windows driver for the HD Graphics 4600 found on the Core i7 4770K processor.

Windows 8 Pro was in the area of 50% faster than Ubuntu 13.10 with its very latest Intel Linux graphics driver code for the aging Unigine Sanctuary tech demo.
