Not only was the GtkPerf performance negatively affected, but so was JXRenderMark, which is a benchmark that tests the X Render extension. With rectangles blended of both 128 x 128 px and 256 x 256 px there was a steep performance impact.

The lines composition test at 256 x 256 px had also exhibited a performance drop with the newer packages.
