At image resizing, the GraphicsMagick application pulled its lead on Ubuntu up to nearly 13% over FreeBSD 8.0.

Ubuntu lost its ground to FreeBSD when it came to the Dhrystone 2 performance in the BYTE Unix Benchmark where it performed miserably in comparison.

While the Dhrystone 2 performance was down, the integer arithmetic performance in BYTE Unix Benchmark was nearly the same between FreeBSD 8.0 and Ubuntu 9.10.
