At 1280 x 1024, the GeForce 8600GT and higher-end GeForce GPUs were still able to deliver a playable frame-rate. Of course, on the NVIDIA binary driver, the frame-rates should be much higher and with better image quality and there should not be the Fermi issues.

At the common 1920 x 1080 HD resolution, the GeForce 8600GT and GeForce 9800GT hardware was still pushing out viable frame-rates while the other graphics cards on the open-source drivers began to deliver insufficient frames.
