Right above the top-most PCI Express x1 slot is the NVIDIA nForce 740i SLI Chipset. In a rather unconventional place, right next to the chipset is the two USB 2.0 headers. There is also a 4-pin molex connector nearby in the event your power supply will just be providing a 20-pin and 4-pin power connector instead of a 24-pin and 8-pin interface. Cooling the nForce 740i SLI Chipset is a small, passive, aluminum heatsink.

The ASRock N7AD-SLI Chipset is compatible with LGA-775 Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium, and Celeron processors from Intel. This processor support includes the newer Penryn, Yorkfield, and Wolfdale CPUs as well, but of course, not the newer LGA-1366 Nehalem processors. The maximum FSB supported on this motherboard is 1600MHz. Behind the LGA-775 CPU socket is the 8-pin power connector.

The ports at the rear of this ATX motherboard include two PS/2, one coaxial S/PDIF output, one optical S/PDIF output, six USB 2.0, one eSATA 2.0, one Gigabit Ethernet, one IEEE-1394 Firewire, and six analog audio jacks.
