OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion Delivers Some Performance Improvements

Between OS X 10.7.4 and OS X 10.8.0 there isn't much change in the file-system/disk performance for the Retina MacBook Pro with its 250GB SSD formatted to a Journaled HFS+ file-system.

For some workloads there is a big performance improvement with OS X 10.8 over OS X 10.7 for the Retina MacBook Pro with its hybrid Intel HD 4000 "Ivy Bridge" / NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M "Kepler" graphics.
