OS X 10.8 vs. Ubuntu Linux: A Battle With No Clear Winner

From the OCZ Agility 2 solid-state drive that was installed into the late-2010 Apple MacBook Pro, Ubuntu Linux with the EXT4 file-system was much faster than Apple OS X with the Journaled HFS+ file-system from the SSD. This is a different story than the results being much closer when benchmarked from the Mac Mini with a traditional HDD.
