AMD Radeon Catalyst Performance: Windows 7 vs. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

When upping the Unigine Heaven test settings to 2560 x 1600 for the Samsung 30-inch LCD display, the results were still very close between Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 for the Radeon hardware. Meanwhile, with the NVIDIA binary driver poking the GeForce GTX 680, Windows 7 was faster.

For Unigine Sanctuary, the results for the NVIDIA and AMD latest-generation graphics processors were close between Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 with each company's official drivers, but the numbers tended to slightly favor Ubuntu Linux.
