When running the open-source Nexuiz game, the Radeon HD 6450 is 56% faster than the Radeon HD 5450 and now slightly faster than the GeForce 9500GT, GeForce GT 220, and GeForce GT 520. The Radeon HD 6550D, HD 6570, and GeForce GT 240 all remain much stronger competition.

The Radeon HD 6450 was still ahead of the Radeon HD 5450, but was well behind all of the NVIDIA graphics cards.

The OpenArena game really isn't taxing on modern graphics cards, especially when using the proprietary drivers but often runs fine on Mesa / Gallium3D. When running this ioquake3-powered game with OpenArena, the performance of the HD 6450 is up significantly over the HD 5450 while being slightly faster than the GeForce GT 520. The GeForce 9500GT and GeForce GT 220 were both noticeably faster than the Radeon HD 6450.
