Here's the same data but when Xonotic was running at 2560 x 1600 with ultra quality image settings.

Xonotic with ultra quality settings on the Radeon HD 6870 again confirmed a small but noticeable performance drop when DPM was enabled.

The Radeon HD 6870 temperature dropped from 60 to 55 degrees with DPM but the slower graphics cards with Xonotic at ultra quality settings led to the same thermal output.

The system power consumption again was lowered noticeably with the radeon.dpm=1 configuration.
