With the old shader-less OpenArena 0.8.5 release, the HD 4670 is faster on 8.1-devel Git, the HD 4870 sharply regresses, the HD 6770 is about 38% faster, and the Radeon HD 6870 is just a few frames higher.

With the newer OpenArena 0.8.8 release, all four Radeon graphics cards regressed. The Radeon HD 4870 and Radeon HD 6870 graphics cards saw their frame-rates nearly halved while the HD 4670 and HD 6770 graphics cards saw significant drops but not quite as dramatic.

The ioquake3-based World of Padman game was faster across the board with Mesa 8.1-devel on the Radeon HD 4000 and HD 6000 series graphics cards on this latest open-source code.
