Continuing with the database testing, the Phenom II X3 also very much had the upper hand over Intel with its PostgreSQL performance.

Converting RAW image files to PPM using dcraw was not a strong area for AMD. Only the AMD triple core solution running at 3.51GHz was able to dislodge the Core i7 920.

The Phenom II X3 when running about 3GHz was faster than the low-end Nehalem, but the X3 running at stock speeds and with its fourth core enabled were not faster at Crafty.
