AMD Radeon HD 7950 On Linux Redux

Unigine Heaven continues to serve as the most demanding Linux OpenGL benchmark at this point. The Radeon HD 7950 results were all quite favorable with Unigine Heaven, even at 2560 x 1600.

Again, you can see how your own Linux OpenGL performance compares to this hardware/software combination by running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1203223-BY-RADEONHD720.

As far as the thermal results go, the XFX Radeon HD 7950 Black 3GB (XFX FX-795A-TNBC) was operating on average about 5°C warmer than the Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 when running Unigine Heaven.
