Warsow is doing much better on the latest Radeon development code, but it's still no match to Catalyst. There are also some performance optimizations being missed out on such as with the open-source Radeon HD 5770 graphics card being faster than the higher-end Radeon HD 6950 graphics card for this Qfusion-based game.

Running Xonotic with low-quality settings yielded some measurable performance improvements for the newer open-source Radeon Linux graphics driver code. Unfortunately though, the Catalyst driver is still about twice as fast.
