The AMD FX-8350 easily wins against the competition for the popular open-source multi-threaded C-Ray ray-tracing benchmark.

The FX-8350 also did well when it came to multi-threaded file compression.

The FX-8350 processor performed fairly well for the Nero2D benchmark under Ubuntu 12.10 Linux.

AMD CPUs traditionally don't tend to perform as well with OpenSSL workloads compared to Intel CPUs, which hasn't changed with the new Piledriver cores.
