The AMD FX-8350 CPU was doing well in the OpenMP-based GraphicsMagick image manipulation benchmarks.

Himeno is one of the scientific tests where AMD CPUs simply do not perform well against Intel CPUs.

The Linux 3.1 kernel could be built in 95 seconds on the FX-8150 CPU at stock speeds while it dropped to 82 seconds when overclocked. The Core i7 3770K meanwhile built the kernel in 86 seconds.
