While Himeno between K8 and bdver1 yields a net performance improvement, when targeting k8-sse3/btver1/barcelona the performance was actually even better than when bdver1 was used.

Lastly, with C-Ray there is a small performance improvement in moving from k8-sse3, a large improvement in going from btver1 (Bobcat) to Barcelona, and then another nice boost going from Barcelona to the first-generation Bulldozer.

These open-source compiler test results from the AMD FX-8150 system can be compared to your compiler or system by using the 1203277-SU-BDVER1TUN05 and 1203270-SU-BULLDOZER17 result files in conjunction with OpenBenchmarking.org and the Phoronix Test Suite. Intel Ivy Bridge compiler tests are also coming up in the very near future.
