The older OpenArena 0.8.5, without GLSL, was over three times faster at all tested resolutions with the Catalyst driver than what the R600 Gallium3D could deliver.

With the new OpenArena 0.8.8, which vastly ups the visual image quality and other engine improvements for this ioquake3-based game, the A8-3870K on the Catalyst driver was more than twice as fast.

The ioquake3-powered Reaction game was about 9x faster with Catalyst.
