For this testing the fglrx 8.91.4 / OpenGL 4.1.11250 Catalyst
Linux "press" driver was used for testing the V4900 and other FirePro
graphics cards used for this review. The publicly available FirePro Linux and
Windows drivers should support the V4900. Like all of the FirePro hardware, the
workstation hardware is well supported by the Catalyst Linux driver with all available
features. As previous articles
have shown, AMD has improved the FirePro/FireGL OpenGL Linux performance several
times through the life cycles of previous products.
